  9. season came in 1976-77 with New Orleans,
  10. when Pistol Pete led the league with 31.1
  11. points per game.

  13. Pete retired in 1980. He died of a heart
  14. attack in 1988 while playing a pick-up
  15. basketball game in a church gym. He was
  16. 40 years old.
